Community-Based Work Assessment

Clients are tested for their baseline skills by participating in a two-part assessment process. This involves completing a variety of work-related tasks at a community job site. Results of this assessment are then utilized to assist the consumer in identifying the right path for their vocational growth.

Job Development

In collaboration with OVR, HART offers Job Development services. During the Job Development phase, an employment specialist supports consumers in identifying open positions that match their interests and skills, applying for job openings, and navigating the interview process.

On the Job Training

Once employed, the Employment Specialist supports the consumers during the orientation process. 1-on-1 support enables consumers to build confidence and develop skills, while also having an advocate if they have additional needs

Follow Up

The Employment Specialist will begin fading services based on the consumer’s needs. Follow-up includes weekly/bi-weekly job site check-ins with consumers to support them with any needs. Fading services enable consumers to develop independence while still requesting additional support as needed.
