If you don’t know Mike, let us introduce you! Mike has been working at the HART Center for 57 years. That means he has been with the HART Center since before it was the HART Center. Previously, known as the Adams-Hanover Area Sheltered Workshop. Our organization was created for adults with disabilities to have opportunities to get engaged in their community from an employment standpoint. Mike was one of the initial 5 clients that we had the pleasure of supporting. So, you see, you can’t truly talk about the HART Center without mentioning Mike. Mike is a man who enjoys his routine and staying informed. He listens to Kim and Scott in the morning and often keeps the team informed of upcoming events/holidays. When asked why Mike initially started working here, he will tell you the bus brings him to work. He greatly enjoys keeping up with his work, and even when he is caught up, he will take the initiative to empty trash cans on the work floor. If asked about his favorite job, Mike will tell you he likes them all. He says his dream job is whatever he is assigned to that day. When asked about his fondest memory here, Mike says, “I just like it”. For all of his years of service and dedication, Mike is a reminder and inspiration as to why the Adams-Hanover Area Sheltered Workshop/HART Center was created. Mike, thank you for all your hard work and positivity.
